The three buses on the Crich area contracts were all service 81/82 branded Darts today:
1004 KU52RYJ on 142
1005 KU52RYK on 140
1007 KU52RYN on 141 (which started as the first bus on 140)

The destinations have been fully programmed with scrolling displays for the routes, which was very impressive compared with the lack of any destinations on the Trentbarton bus yesterday.

As these 3 buses were diverted from the 81/82 has anyone seen what was replacing them on the Bulwells?

Three 81/82 branded Darts still out on 140/1/2 until today when B10B numbered 3003 M526WHF was on service 142 all day (with also 1005 and 1007)

Anyone any idea of the identity of the third one for Crich services (M517WHF has also seen at the depot) , or even of a spare one that may have been purchaced?

3002 M549WTJ, 3003 M526WHF and 81/82 branded 1007 on Crich services on Friday 30th.

Today 3002, and 81/82 branded 1006 and 1007 on Crich services.

The latter two were replaced on the 81/82 by former Arriva Midlands Olympians 2001 P611CAY and 2002 N166XVO - both giving a excellent ride.

3005 - M556WTJ (and 3003 / 1007) on Crich services.

The identity of 3004 (which is the only one I have not seen yet) seems to slightly wrong on the Fleet News page.  The Arriva Merseyside YEM batch runs from M564YEM to M575YEM, following on from M544WTJ to M563WTJ.

3004 photographed above had its first full days in service on the Crich services on the 142 on this Thursday and Friday, and I noted it as M556YEM, but it still worried me as I could not find any other reference to it anywhere.

Today it is on service 141 and I managed to inspect it closely in daylight at Ripley Sainsburys.

I can confirm that the front number plate does indeed read M556YEM, which is the feature that still does not look quite correct, as there never seems to have been a bus with that identity.
The tax disk and the rear number plate both however very clearly display M566YEM, which is ex Arriva NW 6566!!!

My theory about this confused identity is that the rear number plate is behind glazing so was probably not touched when it was refurbished, whilst the front number plate could well have been replaced with the wrong number??

I will let the experts in bus identification decide which identity should be recorded, but I think I will record that I have seen M566YEM in service!

I am sorry if anyone thought I was challanging their sightings.

Regards
Guy
