They were 10 and 11, they were on on Mon too.  Just 236 and Paladins today inc 114.

It's a trial - the Paladins on those two duties were struggling to cope with passenger numbers on some morning/evening journeys and it got to the stage where it got a bit "Silly" with having to leave people standing.

As it's half term, the deckers are off school runs - so it was an experiment / they might as well...

I doubt it will be a permanant fixture (from what I'm aware of, the Paladins were going back on it today), but "watch this space" as it were... particularly at this time of year, with the uni having expanded so much over the last few years - then there's likely to have to be some changes to cope with increasing passenger numbers; towards the end of the uni year the numbers drop off a bit, but from september til december it's "peak season" - there are easily enough passengers to fill a decker on many of the morning journeys, or possibly a 'dupe' through from Albert Street to the Uni - as the deckers are all out every day during the same "busy" period, on schools.

Oh, and Decker 17 is being painted, and does look pretty good in its new coat so far... blue and green on, and the white's being done over the next few days

The paint is on, but it seemed to be struggling to dry given the current climate - bit damp and cold..

Parked out in the sun today, it did seem to be making progress - it was finally touch dry so the vinyls were applied and it does look bloody good  Very Happy

The boys (and girls) have done a very good job; there's a couple of bits where the paint hasn't taken as well as it should do, but that's to be expected on a bus like this given the way it was painted.

I've got some photos of it now it's done - but I expect some of you lot have already been out 'spotting' as it's been on the road both yesterday and today.
