227 on transpeak
234 on transpeak
448 on 6.1 shorts (423 has been the usual recently)

413 (in Royal livery) passing through Matlock twice within half an hour, possibly on route learning?

Its possible that a Unibus Paladin might have been on the R4 today.

Saw one in Nottingham displaying 4 SNIS, and there was a classic 'Rainbow Routes' slipboard in the window

That'll be the Unibus 7. It basically follows the same route as the Transpeak, & has used a Transpeak vehicle since the timetable changed back in October 2008. When the Unibus 7 doesn't run, this bus will either work the 0850 Derby-Buxton, which only runs on certain dates, or will work the 0945 Derby-Buxton duplicate which is summer-only.

Unfortunately, it causes some confusion with the students at the Uni, as different vehicles perform the morning & afternoon journeys, & the road into the Uni is only suitable for high-floor vehicles, which means that they don't know whether to catch their bus inside the campus or on the road outside (depending on whether a coach or an Excel is used)

This working can often throw up some interesting buses on it, & makes for some decent pics for those who know about it

So I was led to believe, but I could well be wrong. I know it does cause confusion with where to wait in an evening because nobody knows if a coach or a low-floor bus is going to turn up.

Yes. You are quite right Dan.
This is now incorporated into the TP timetable. Very confusing for students and TP passengers alike. When Uni aren't in, then it operates 08.50am and the bus that would have done that service operates the dupe in the summer. Same on the return from campus. On non campus days, this bus operates an additional TP service at 16.07 Buxton Railway Stn to Derby. This also operates at weekends.

More so confusing was one day last week coach 62 was operating the Uni 7 service and a Unibus paladin - 113 was on the TP service.
106 out on TP service today.  Mind boggling!!
