Wonder if it's a Bellamy's one that got lost.... or searching for competition where it's needed...

That was mine - on a PH Derby to Crich for a wedding anniversary!

RM1168 has the same refurb as Bellamy's RM758 from London Central's route 36 with a Scania engine. My favourite refurbs actually with the maroon seat backs and discrete fluourscent lighting.

I saw this too in Derby Smile
Just out of interest James, I asked your company or a quote for the bus in May, and the price came back as £900, 125% more than every other quote lol

Well done for getting it cheaper then - I presume the other operator is happy with that price so good for you. Do you mine me asking who's doing it and with what?

We've had 3 other quotes, the name of 2 of them slip my mind, one of them is www.hirealondonbus.com, based in Nottingham, think one of the others is Exclusive/Premiere Cars. They both offered us Routemasters for £400, whereas MC offered £900!

Is not always best to go with the Cheapest option, only have to check out my house decorating lol Razz

James is correct, the other RMs are Dartmasters, his is a proper authentic London machine, with the clear light bulbs, which look awesome against a dark skyline.

It just seems odd that 3 other companies can do it for £400, and MC is £900.
The bloke I spoke to blamed it on having to bring in other drivers.

Have you seen the Routemaster for sale of ebay - RM548 belonging to Hire A London Bus - I hope it's not the one you booked for your job! Looks smart though.
