370 is on loan whilst 128 is away for repairs. 370 has no almex on board so is used on derby city school swimming contracts, or taxi bus duties. it's tempery fleet number is 128.

Have to admit I'm quite surprised N&D are so short of vehicles they need to hire spares in like this. Is it because they in turn are loaning so many out to TrentBarton?

No. That's got nothing to do with it.

We've in fact got a whole load of vehicles sat at Langley Mill that could be dragged out if required...

However, because of the way the Insurance is set up - the only way to get any "professional compensation" out of the 128 smash (IE for not having the bus in the fleet....) is to physically hire one from somewhere else and produce invoices to prove this. It's not due to a shortage of vehicles.

Also - news on the Decker 9 front - it's paperwork gave it's status on Saturday morning as "VOR - Awaiting Scrappage"

No idea. I think it's just N+D - and possibly just confined to this one incident. That's going on what I was told on Friday.

I got the impression that it's not a situation which has occurred before and the general attitude was that the insurers were being "difficult".

Bear in mind - this is a 3rd party claim on the BMW car drivers' insurance as opposed to the N+D/Trent insurance. Same reason as 128 has "gone away" to be repaired rather than being done in house at Meadow Road.

I re-iterate again though, it's nowt to do wi being short of vehicles / disorganised Smile

Sorry i was referring to the Citybus!  Did it not have a fair bit of work done when it was off the road a while ago?  Shame to see a piece of Derbys history disappear.
