The '03' BC Scania was being replaced with the '05' BC Scania this afternoon when I drove past, anyone got any ideas why the Scanias have been off the road recently?

Everyday for the past couple of week there has been at least one Scania off (both BC and IF)

One thing I dont understand about Felix is they have 3 buses for service (the Scanias), but their reserve fleet consists of

1 Volvo B10B (used for Derby County matches)
1 Volvo B10BLE
2 Optare Solos
2 Centro.

So they actually have 200% spare fleet coverage.

Anyone know if they put any tenders in this time round?

If the tender's come up for the 9 to Borrowash, they should've gone for that... it'd be a fine use for the B10BLE.

Take it as Littles haven't won it, because their Solo is about to, or has left the fleet and is believed to be heading in the direction of Premiere, Nottingham.

Littles Solo was on the 9 this morning, so hasn't left yet, if it is at all.  

Haven't heard who has got the contracts for the 9 or the 109 yet.  Heard Doyles were bidding for the 9, and expect n+d have put good bids in for both, after all the 9 and the 109 go into their areas (9 along the Nottingham Rd corridor) and the 109 serves Allestree and Ashbourne.

Does the 109 contract include the evening runs?

N&D *should* have a good shot as long as the price is right. They *should* have some good quality LF buses on the horizon

56 Plate centro on the BC along with the ALX300
08 Plate centro on the IF

Bad days for the scanias or just being cleaned?

Suppose FELIX have enough spares to take all 3 off the road for an inspection! Don't know what the facilities are like up there or if they'd have the resources to do this though.
